Large Vintage Stoneware French Vinegar Bottle

This is a very large stoneware advertising pot for French white wine vinegar, with lovely under glaze black typography.

A heavy and stable piece, I love the typically French typography on this piece, which contrasts against the beige coloured stoneware background. This was used for selling white wine vinegar from the house of Bornier Dijon.

In good condition, there is a small chip to the glaze on the side of the bottle at the base. There are also a few scuff and scratch marks around the neck of the bottle. But these flaws are commensurate with the age of this piece and add to its natural timeworn charm. It is in stable condition.
