Large Vintage French Stoneware Confiture Pot

A lovely example of a large plain stoneware confiture pot, dating to the early part of the 20th Century, finished in a white glaze which has a lilac hue to it.

This confiture pot has some natural weather and wear to it, with some knocks to the glaze around the top of the pot and a few light knocks in places. There is also a fine hairline at the top of the pot on one side, although this is tight. But these issues, together with the unique colouring of light pink hues, make it a unique piece. 

It is an impressive size, perfect for storing utensils, or for display in its own right.
