Large Rustic Antique French Wirework Egg Basket

This is a lovely rustic antique wirework basket, designed to store eggs in.

French in origin, this wirework basket dates from the early 20th Century. With natural wear, it’s perfect for adding a rustic touch to your kitchen decor. It's a little larger than most I see and would hold at least dozen eggs with ease.

The basket is in fair condition for its age. The handle and top rim of the basket have bent and twisted a little with age. A section of wire in the middle of the basket is also bent out of place. However, the whole basket stands up sturdily and is good to use. There is some oxidisation in places, most notable on the handle and the top rim of the basket. But the main part of the basket itself is largely clean and so is still good to use.
