Large French Dark Teal Floral Plate

A beautiful example of a terre de fer floral plate, with a beautiful floral border and centre.

With a St Amand stamp on its base, this plate dates to the early 20th Century. The colouring is stunning, in an almost black deep teal. 

The plate oozes timeworn charm, with some light staining and scuff marks from use. There are some nibbles to the edge, including one larger chip. But these faults blend in well to the piece and it is nonetheless still a very usable item.
