A very impressive extra large carved wooden corbel, sourced from France, which would make an unusual focal point on a wall.

Dating from at least the 19th Century, this French oak corbel has masses of character and charm. It's a stunning decorative piece for the home.

One side has carved scroll details, the other would have sat flush with a wall. The pirce has previously been painted but has naturally distressed over the years, revealing layers of different colouring. 

It is an aged piece, with lots of wear reflecting this. Most notably, there are screw holes and staining in places. There has also been some worm damage, although this has been treated. These factors add to its charm.
