This is a quality and rare piece of antique treen kitchenalia dating from the nineteenth Century, with an excellent and deeply carved fleur de lys, the feathers for the Prince of Wales.

The Royal motif on this Victorian butter or biscuit stamp is very eye catching. Featuring a fleur de lys, the heraldic badge of the Prince of Wales, the deep carved detail is very attractive. The border is equally detailed, with care being taken to include two different intricate patterns.

The mould has an integral turned wood handle. There is a small hold in the middle of the mould and in the centre of the handle from where this was turned, but this is all structurally stable. There are also some old surface cracks to the back of the stamp but nothing substantial. Apart from some areas of staining in places, it is otherwise in very good condition, and is a scarcely available pattern.

A super and highly collectable piece.
