Large Antique Spouted Dairy Bowl by Societe Ceramique

A rare extra large early 20th Century large white ironstone mixing bowl, with a tipping spout and pedestal base, in very good condition.

Bearing the mark for renowned Dutch ironstone producers Societe Ceramique on its base, this fabulous mixing bowl dates to the 1920s.

With a pronounced pouring spout, and in a rarely seen large size, this large ironstone mixing bowl is still immensely practical for use in the kitchen. The bowl itself stands proudly on a wide footed base.

In very good condition, there are no chips or cracks and it is in overall clean condition. The top rim and spout does have some nibbles to the glaze, which is perhaps more notable on the spout. There are some age related scuff marks and scratches from use, as well as some patches of crazing and light staining. This is more pronounced in the base of the bowl, no doubt from when it has been used regularly. The base and its rim also has some staining but this isn't too significant.  

Overall, it's still a very grand piece for any kitchenalia or white ironstone collector.
