Large Antique French Teal Transferware Platter

I adore the teal coloured pattern on this large antique French terre de fer platter.

Featuring nesting birds sitting amongst floral garlands around its border, this is a very attractive ironstone serving plate. It is in the Colombier patter by Lebacqz M Bouchart, and dates to the early 20th Century.

In excellent condition, there are no chips or cracks. There are a couple of minor nibbles to the glaze around the top rim, but these aren't substantial. There is a lightly timeworn stained patina to the centre of the plate, together with some scratch marks to the surface from use. But these add to the aged appeal of the platter.
