Large Antique French Rustic Confit Pot

A lovely large-sized antique French glazed stoneware confit pot, which is perfect for modern day storage in the kitchen or around the home. A French country piece, it would have been used for preserving different foods in a countryside property.

Dating from the late 19th/early 20th Century, these stoneware pots are perfect for modern day use. They add a rustic charm to a kitchen as a utensil pot, or look great used for display purposes anywhere in the home, as a display for flowers, or perfect for storing artists brushes. And the neutral, grey and beige hues of this pot works well in any interior.

The condition of this confit pot is excellent, with no cracks or chips and just general wear and some discolouration to the base and top rims, as to be expected from use. The pot is very rustic in nature, with drip marks and paint splashes, plus there is a scratch on the glaze on one side from the time of production.
