Large Antique French Oak Chopping Board

These antique French chopping or herb boards are so highly sought after. And understably so! The shape, weight and practicality of use make them so appealing.

This example, made of oak, is a lovely wide shape. The raised sides make it perfect for ensuring no food falls away from the sides while meals are being prepared. It is also extremely heavy so there's no risk of this moving around whilst in use either.

This example is in very good condition with all its original fittings. The middle of the board has been worn and dips a little from regular use. The varnish on the board has worn away and there is also some light water damage to this, with some drip marks evident at the front and on the underside of the board. This could easily be rectified through waxing or treating.
