Large Antique French Blue Transferware Platter

This is a stunning aged and weathered French ironstone platter, dating from the late 19th/early 20th Century, with a gorgeous timeworn charm and patina.

With a marked base, this transferware ironstone platter has taken on a natural weathered look over the years, with patches of lightly stained crazing and also a scorch mark on one side. But this adds a genuine vintage timeworn appeal to the piece, which complements the gorgeous blue floral pattern.

Apart from the timeworn crazing, this platter is otherwise in very good condition. There are no chips or cracks.

A beautiful antique French platter which is still very useful for serving food from but which also is a stunning item to display when not in use.
