A highly collectable Edwardian banded white ironstone storage jar for "SUGAR", in good condition with its original lid.
These white ironstone storage jars were popular in the early part of the twentieth Century, when foodstuffs were often sold in loose measures in local grocers shops. Although a little faded, the "SUGAR" label on this pot is still clear and visible.
This Edwardian jar is in great overall condition, with no crazing, chips or cracks. There are some minor age spots and staining from where this pot has seen some use but overall it is a clean example..
A great piece either to start or add to a collection of white ironstone antique storage jars.
