This faisselle is the largest and deepest I've sourced, it's so impressive. Perfect for a variety of decorative uses around the home, its rustic and timeworn charm just add to its appeal.
Dating from the early 20th Century, this was originally used as a mould for making faisselle cheese, with the pierced holes allowing the whey to drain away.
These are now popular for decorative purposes around the home. This is perfect for putting a few tealights in (it would easily fit five inside), using as a planter or as a kitchen tidy.
A great, sturdy piece, it has a rustic finish with areas of staining and imperfections in the finish. But these all add to its timeworn charm. There are no chips or cracks.
Diameter, 19.5cm; Height, 13cm
