Heavily Patinated Tureen Dish

Such a unique piece, the aged and timeworn patina on this beautiful antique French tureen is stunning. It shows a life well lived and loved, most likely at the centre of family meals for many years.

Made by Longwy and in the Monaco pattern, this transferware piece features a pretty floral pattern around the top of it. What's perhaps more impressive is the timeworn patina this has acquired over time. The whole bowl has crazing, but this is stained and dark in places. Without doubt, this is a one off piece and you won't find another with the same look.

Aside from the discolouration, though, the tureen is in perfect order with no cracks or chips. It could continue to be used as a centrepiece for family meals for many more years to come.
