A gorgeous example of an antique early 20th Century French dairy bowl, otherwise known as a pancheon.
These rustic bowls were used traditionally for bread making, and would still be perfect for similar use today, with the ceramic glaze ideal for mixing, binding and proving dough. However, these rustic bowls look great and can serve a range of uses in the home, as a fruit bowl, plant pot or for storing eggs or kitchen equipment.
Normally found in much larger sizes, this more medium sized bowl is perfect.
There are a few scuffs and knocks to the glaze, which is more notable around the top rim. But the bowl is otherwise in very good condition with no chips or cracks.
