Extra Large Antique Victorian Butter Stamp - Swan

A nicely carved extra large sized antique English wooden butter stamp, with a swimming swan. 

Dating from the late 1800s, this is a great piece of antique kitchenalia, perfect for giving a farmhouse feel to any display. The stamp is beautifully carved, with lots of detail of the swan’s body, different types of feathers and its eye and long beak. 

This stamp has suffered some wear in its time. Most notably, there are old worm holes all over. These have, however, been thoroughly treated. There is also a small area of damage on the outer casing where the wood has broken away and been glued back into position. The outer casing does have some light staining and patches of water damage too. The price of this piece does reflect these flaws.
