Dating from the 18th Century, this is a stunning example of a French baroque style deeply carved wooden panel originating from a religious setting.

The detail on this panel is absolutely stunning, with wonderful detailing in the cornucopia leaves meeting more linear shapes and patterns across the piece. This is a piece of art in itself and is perfect for adorning a wall or shelf..

Considering the age of this piece, it is in excellent condition, with just some scuffs and scratches to the surface, plus holes on the back of the panel from where this has previously been attached. There is a small loss of part of the wood bordering the panel on one side, but the remaining section has been secured in place.

A wonderful decorative French antique.
