Chippy & Timeworn Antique French Soupiere by Sarreguemines

A gorgeous antique French large sized soupiere bowl with lovely sculpted handles.

With a mark for Sarreguemines on its base, this fantastic soup tureen dates to the early part of the 20th Century. It has fabulous scuplted handles on each side and is in quite clean condition. Perfect for use as a decorative accessory around the home - for dried flowers or bulbs.

The soupiere is in fair condition of its age. There is a chip to the base and top rims and a crack on the side, although the whole piece is stable. There is light crazing all over, as well as a small number of surface scratch marks and knocks. But the whole piece is nonetheless still an impressive piece of antique terre de fer and displays well.
