Carved Vintage Wooden Butter Board or Dish

This is a wonderful example of an early to mid 20th Century carved English wooden butter dish, complete with a willow patterned ceramic liner.

This rich coloured treen butter dish features an unusual carved border of rosettes, foliage and vines. For what is a small area, the carving is very impressive, with different depths for the leaves and vines evident. The carving is just as crisp and sharp as the time it was produced. 

The willow patterned liner features a maker's mark for Royal Cauldon. This too is in excellent condition.
