Carved English Wooden Butter Dish

This is a great example of an early to mid 20th Century deeply carved English wooden butter dish, complete with a glass liner.

This rich coloured treen butter dish features an unusual carved border of rosettes and foliage. For what is a small area, the carving is quite deep and is just as crisp and sharp as the time it was produced.
