Carved Antique Wooden Bread Board

An excellent example of an antique carved English breadboard, dating from the early to mid 20th Century, with the word "Bread" clearly carved into its border.

This is an excellent example of a carved bread board. Carved breadboards were extremely popular household items at the time and this example has been well loved through its lifetime.. Although there are a few old knife marks to the centre of the board from use, it has been regularly waxed, creating a beautiful and rich honey coloured patina.

Of slightly smaller proportions than those you normally find, it is in excellent condition still, and sits flat so is good for ongoing use.
