This is a lovely piece of antique treen kitchenalia dating from the early to mid 20th Century, with this biscuit or icing mould featuring a rarely seen bell as the subject matter.
Originally designed to be used for decorations for cakes or biscuits, this carved mould is a highly decorative piece. The patterning on the bell as a folk art feel to it.
This stamp is in excellent condition for its age, with the carving still very clear. A hook has been inserted into the back of the mould to hang this as a decoration, but this could be removed. There are some surface water marks to the edges of the mould, as well as some wear to the corners. There are also a couple of old worm holes but these have been treated. However, these factors don't distract from the pretty carved detail.
