Dating from the 18th Century, this is a stunning example of a French baroque style deeply carved wooden panel originating from a religious setting.

The detail on this panel is beautiful, with wonderful detailing in the cornucopia leaves and a large rosette. This is a piece of art in itself and is perfect for adorning a wall or shelf..

Considering the age of this piece, it is in good condition. There are some old splits in parts of the panelling, which have been repaired with the additional of some wooden batons on the back and also some filler. There are also some old worm holes, although the piece has been treated. 

Nonetheless, it is a wonderful decorative French antique.
