For sale individually, these are very pretty green transferware terre de fer saucers, dating from around 1900.

The size of these little plates makes them perfect for use as butter pats or small serving dishes. They were made by the French pottery company A Virot for sale in a shop in Brest in Brittany. With the exception of one, which is unmarked, the back of each plate reads A Virot, A La Pensee, Brest.

Each plate has a slightly different floral pattern. They are also perfectly aged, with light buttery and toasty coloured crazing. There are some tiny flake chips to the edges of the rims of each plate but they are otherwise in excellent condition.

The style of each plate will be randomly selected at purchase, but if you have a preference for a particular style please let me know.
