Timeworn Antique Ironstone French Confiture Pot

A fabulous chunky ironstone confiture pot, with subtle ripples of buttery colouring and crazing across it. 

Although this confiture pot does have a mark on its base, the maker's name has now faded. But this pot is likely to date to the early 20th Century.

It is a beautiful shape for use around the home. Perfect for trinkets or to pop a dried hydrangea in.

This example has beautiful buttery colouring rippling across it, which is heavier in some places where the pot has been exposed to grease. This is also mixed in with some light crazing in places.

While there are some nibbles to the base rim, there are no significant chips or cracks on this piece. The inside base of the pot has worn quite significantly, which scratches and dents to the glaze, which has come away in some places. However, this doesn't detract from the timeless charm of the pot.
