Buttery Antique French Large Blue Transferware Soupiere

A gorgeous antique French extra large blue transferware soupiere bowl with lovely sculpted handles and buttery timeworn colouring.

With a Sarreguemines mark on its base dating it to the early 20th Century, this soupiere is heavily patinated. The buttery coloured crazing blends perfectly with the blue transferware decoration. It has fabulous scuplted handles on each side.

The soupiere is in very good condition for its age. There is one hairline on the rim of the bowl, but this is stable and the soupiere is an impressive heavyweight piece.
