Blue Transferware Antique French Compotier

This French ironstone compote dish, dating from the early 20th Century, features a striking royal blue transferware border and central motif, and is in mint condition.  

Raised on a small footed stand, this terre de fer cake plate is perfect both for display and use. It has a beautiful Grand Depot Paris mark on its base.

Apart from a small number of minor age spots on the surface, this is in excellent clean condition. There are no cracks or chips and the deep blue colouring is still deep and rich in colour.
