Beautifully Aged Green Transferware Terre de Fer Platter

This is a stunning aged and weathered antique French ironstone platter, dating from the late 19th Century, with a gorgeous timeworn charm and patina.

With an indented marked base, this unusually smaller sized oval plate dates from the late 19th Century. This transferware ironstone platter has taken on a natural weathered look over the years, with some age marks and light coffee patches of staining. This complements the gorgeous green pattern which borders the piece and features in a central emblem.

Apart from the timeworn crazing, this platter is otherwise in good condition considering its age. There are no chips or cracks, and just some light surface knocks and scratches in places. 

A beautiful antique French platter which is still very useful for serving food from but which also is a stunning item to display when not in use.
