Beautiful Timeworn Small Ironstone Cake Plate by Boch

A gorgeous timeworn example of a small sized white ironstone cake stand made by Boch Les Freres in the 1920s.

Originating from Belgium, this ironstone cake dish has an unusual shape, with a squared off top stand finished with ribbed details as well as a ribbed footed base.

It has lots of wear and timeworn age but is structurally in very good condition, with no cracks, chips or crazing. There are a number of age spots on this piece, most notable around the top rim. There is also staining which has no doubt been caused by grease marks through lots of years of use.

But the staining and discoluration adds rustic charm to the piece and it is a very pretty item to use to display cakes on and for many more years of use.
