Beautiful Timeworn Antique French Pitcher by Gien

The colouring on this antique French pitcher is sublime. Pastel shades of blues, pinks and yellows all blend beautifully in an interesting garland border around both the top and base. Combined with the timeworn crazing and age, it really stands out as a beautiful piece.

Produced by Gien at the turn of the 19th and 20th Centuries, it's in very good order. There are no chips and no hairlines (although there are a couple of glaze cracks to the top rim, but these don't penetrate all the way through).

There is crazing to the jug and this has stained in places, although this is mostly evident on the base and inside the jug.
