Beautiful Signed French Landscape Oil on Canvas Painting

A stunning vintage French oil painting on canvas depicting a beautiful river setting.

This is a very well executed piece, with muted tones seeming to depict a late summer evening. Thick strokes define the trees impressively, and there are lovely details to show off the different colours of the foliage and flowers. It is signed in the bottom right corner.

In excellent condition, there is some wear to the paint at the edges. A tiny pin prick in the canvas can also be seen when held up to the light. The back of the painting and frame also has some white paint splashes. There is a hook at the top of the frame for hanging.
