Stunning Blue Transferware French Soupiere

A very pretty antique French ironstone soupiere bowl with a blue transferware pattern featuring songbirds, music sheets and florals. of country scenes.

Sourced in Paris, this fantastic soup tureen dates to the early part of the 20th Century and shows signs of its age in its colouring now. Buttery and coffee coloured staining add unique timeworn charm and appeal.  

Other than the crazing and staining, which is more heavy inside the base and on the bottom rim, this soupiere is otherwise in very good condition. There are no cracks or chips. 

Perfect for use as a decorative antique around the home or for ongoing use.
