Beautiful Antique French Ormolu and Glass Picture Frame

A very fine example of an antique French ormolu photo frame, dating to the early part of the 20th Century.

With a ribbon bow banner top, and ball feet, this ormolu frame is in excellent condition with hardly any wear or tarnishing to the ormolu.

The design of the frame was intended to give maximum emphasis to the image inside, with a glazed panel with bevelled edges. There is a hook for hanging or an easel back.

The frame comes complete with an original photograph from the time of a fine French lady. This could easily be replaced. The ribbon top can be gently pulled up to release the surround.

In excellent condition, there are no chips to the glass and the ormolu is wonderfully bright still.
