As Found Antique French Wicker Shopping Basket

This antique rustic French wicker basket, dating from the early twentieth Century, has bundles of character, and - although it is in as found condition - it is still great either display or use. Finished with a banding of black chord around the edge and with a handle which splits from the top, it is a very pretty piece.

It is a great size to use as a small shopping basket or for collecting flowers, fruit or vegetables from the garden. Similarly, it would look great on display inside the home.

In as found condition, there are a number of breakages to the wicker on this basket, most notably on one side and on the base, although there are small breakages all over. This is due to the fact that the wicker is quite brittle now, so I would recommend using this sparingly or opting to display it in the home.
