Antique Victorian White Ironstone English Advertising Pot - Sainsbury's Bloater Paste
Antique Victorian White Ironstone English Advertising Pot - Sainsbury's Bloater Paste
This is a listing for one of the rarer taller examples of the antique white ironstone J Sainsbury's bloater paste crocks, dating from the end of the 19th/early 20th Century, which has a timeworn antique patina to it.
These white ironstone jars are great examples of antique English advertising pots. In the harder to find larger size, they look wonderful on display as part of a kitchenalia or white ironstone collection, and are versatile to use in all rooms around the home.
At the time they were produced, these pots were discarded. This example has therefore been dug from an old Victorian dump, and therefore features aged crazing all over and rusty coloured staining. However, it is otherwise in good condition with a clearly visible black transfer print logos. There are no cracks but there is a small chip near the base of the pot on one side.
