Antique Victorian Bentwood Storage Barrel

A beautiful honey coloured large bentwood storage tub, dating from the 19th Century. It would have been used to store flour or dried grains in.

A lovely decorative item, this tub has a very rustic appearance. Ideal for a variety of decorative purposes around the home and garden, it is a very attractive item with a tied wooden banding feature to the outside of the tub.

The tub is in good sturdy condition. There are a number of old worm holes on one side near the base but these have been treated. The tied wooden bands around the outside of the barrel have worn. This tub is missing its lid, which would have held the top band in place, so this is a little loose. Nonetheless, it's a fantastic piece of decorative kitchenalia.
