A good example of a penny topped copper ring shaped culinary mould made by Behnham and Froud in the mid to late 1800s.
Stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams, above the pattern number 521 on one side, the other side has a workman's mark in the shape of flags. The mould is well made from heavygauge copper and has a pennytop design to the top, which is designed to represent a row of overlapping pennies.
There are a small number of dents to the top but there are no splits in the copper. The tinning is still in tact but does have some oxidisation in places.
Height, 6.5cm; Diameter, 14.7cm
