A beautiful example of a timeworn and weathered terre de fer plate, with a beautiful green transferware pattern.

With a St Amand stamp on its base, this design is in the Trianon design and features two cherubs sitting underneath a tree looking out over beautiful gardens. It dates from the turn of the 19th and 20th Centuries.

The plate oozes timeworn charm, with buttery colouring staining across the surface blending in with the pattern. In good condition for its age, there are no cracks or chips. But the timeworn age to the plate extends to the base where there is some stained crazing, and the edge of the plate also has some scuff marks. But these faults blend in well to the piece and it is nonetheless still a very usable and decorative item.

Diameter, 22.5cm; Height, 2.5cm
