Antique Longchamp Terre de Fer Transferware Platter

This is a stunning aged and weathered antique French terre de fer platter, dating from the early 20th Century, with a gorgeous timeworn charm and patina.

With a marked base for Longchamp Terre de Fer, this large oval transferware plate has taken on a natural weathered look over the years, with patches of stained crazing all over. The light blue border has faded slightly, mixing in with the overall aged look. 

Apart from the timeworn crazing, this platter is otherwise in very good condition. There are no cracks but there are some small nibbles on the underside rim. Overall, it's a beautiful antique French platter which is still very useful for serving food from but which also is a stunning item to display when not in use.
