Antique French White Ironstone Drainer Plate with Star Pattern

A beautiful example of a larger sized antique French white ironstone drainer plate with a pierced star pattern.

Dating from the early part of the 20th Century, these old drainers are excellent display pieces in the kitchen today, and also come in handy for straining fruit or meat. This is a great large sized version.

In overall excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, this does have light crazing and some areas of mild staining all over, although this adds natural timeworn charm. There are some minor nibbles, including a small chip, to the base rim.

On the whole, though, this is an excellent piece of antique kitchenalia which is perfect for displaying purposes.
