Antique French White Ironstone Confiture Pot by Creil et Montereau

A lovely example of a timeworn ironstone confiture pot, made by the famous Creil & Montereau factory in the early part of the 20th Century.

This confiture pot oozes charm with some natural timeworn coffee coloured staining in places, giving it a unique and timeworn patina.

It is a beautiful piece, with a simple but impressive border at the top, which elevates the style of the pot. There are no cracks, chips or crazing although there is some damage to the glaze on one side, likely to be a result of the firing process at the time of production.
