Antique French White Ironstone Carving Platter

This is a lovely timeworn example of a white ironstone carving platter, sourced in France, which has a weathered and timeworn appearance to it. 

This is a beautiful French carving platter. Designed to hold meat in position on one side of the platter, there is a slight slope towards the dipped end of the plate, with the channels designed to allow the juices to flow into this.

This ironstone carving platter has seen some use over the years, and consequently has crazing all over, which has developed a coffee coloured staining across the plate. However, aside from this, it is in good condition. There is wear to the base feet and scuff and age marks in places but it is a sturdy and still very usable piece of antique French kitchenalia.
