Antique French White Enamel Water Filter - Filtre Buron Paris
Antique French White Enamel Water Filter - Filtre Buron Paris
Dating from the 1940s, this is a wonderful vintage French display piece.
With the company name, 'Filtre Buron Paris' across the front of the white enamel container in blue, it is a very striking piece. Originally designed to filter water which would have come from local wells, the original middle filter section is now missing. However, with the original lid, it is now a more manageable display piece.
The tap on the front is in working order although I would caution against using this for dispensing liquid as there is some light staining to the enamel in the base of the container from use, as well as some wear and rust to the enamel. This is most notable around the top rim and lid, although there are some surface scratches to the outside of the filter too.
A lovely and highly unusual decorative piece for the home.
