Antique French Transferware Compote Dish with Teal Border

This French ironstone compote dish, dating from the early 20th Century, features a pretty teal green transferware border. 

Made by Longchamp in the early 20th Century, this ironstone compote dish features the Ennege pattern around its border, with overflowing flowers spilling from urns in a sdeep teal green colour.

In excellent condition for its age, there are no cracks or chips. it is also very clean, with just a few odd scuff marks and light crazing in places.

Compote dishes like this are great for use as a kitchen centrepiece, for fruit like lemons or as a large dessert bowl.
