Antique French Timeworn White Ironstone Cafe au Lait Bowl

This is a listing for ONE beautiful rustic antique French white ironstone cafe au lait bowl. A choice of two are available to choose from.

Dating from the early 20th Century, these are fabulous heavy weight French café au lait bowls, each with a beautiful shape.

Both in rustic condition, they each have a natural timeworn charm to them. 

The left hand bowl has a mark for Gien on its base and is a rich coffee colouring, which is more heavy on the inside and top rim. There is crazing all over as well as some staining and scuff marks. There are also two cracks running down opposite sides of the bowl although these are stable and the bowl is in solid condition.

The right hand bowl is lighter in colour but also has patches of light coffee coloured staining all over, again which is more notable in patches including the top and base rims. It has a French maker's mark on its base although I don't recognise it. This bowl also has some stable cracks as well as a chip to the inside rim.

This timeworn flaes add to the character of both these pieces, making them highly decorative.
