Antique French Ironstone Sauce Dish with Decorative Blue Marguerite Pattern

A wonderful antique white ironstone French sauce dish with integrated drip plate likely to date from the early 20th Century.

Decorated in a wonderful 'Marguerite' pattern from La Faiencerie Nouvelle from Givors in Terre de Fer, this is a beautiful piece. The marguerite pattern features prominently on the base and sides of this dish.

In used condition, this dish has a timeworn charm to it. There is wear to the edges of the base and gravy boat, with some staining and light chipping. There is also a more significant chip here. There is some lightly stained crazing to the inside of the gravy boat. However, there are no cracks on the dish.

Designed to be used for sauce or gravy, it is also a very nice decorative piece. A great addition for collectors of antique French tableware or white ironstone who like their pieces with charm and patina.
