Antique French Terre De Fer Deep Blue Transferware Plate

With a mark for the Grand Depot, a famous department store with branches in the large French cities, this terre de fer plate is in the Marguerite pattern and dates to around 1900.

The striking dark blue transferware pattern on this plate really stands and it's a very attractive piece. 

It is in very good condition, especially considering its age. There is light buttery crazing all over, plus a couple of surface cracks, including a star crack to the glaze on the base. But none of these penetrate through and it is a good sturdy piece. There is also some general wear and age marks to the outer rim.
