Antique French St Uze Creamer

These iconic blue and white pieces of St Uze pottery are available to purchase individually, either in an extra large or small size.

Featuring the floral stencilled pattern around them, these pitchers ooze rustic charm. Both have some minor damage but are both highly decorative and usable items still.

The extra large jug measures 20cm tall, 21.5cm wide across its handle and 18.5cm across the widest point of its diameter. It is a good clean example, with some minor scuff marks in places. The handle, though, does appear to have suffered a burn at some point, with damage to the top of the handle. There is also a crack across the base of the handle. This is stable and the jug can be held without any problems. However, I would advise caution in using the pitcher and holding it solely by the handle.

The smaller jug is a very pretty piece of faience and has a pretty decorative garland border towards the base. This too is in clean condition with just a few scuff marks. There is a very fine hairline just over 1cm in length running from the top rim, but this is very tight and stable and doesn't penetrate through all the way along. This jug measures 10cm tall, 11.5cm wide across the handle and 9.5cm at the widest point of its diameter.
