Antique French Signed & Framed Country Landscape

A beautiful signed and framed oil painting on canvas of a French country scene.

A thatched farm building sits predominantly in the foreground, with a pretty stone church behind it nestled in the centre of the village. It's a lovely country landscape and unquestionably makes me yearn for summer days in France,

The painting itself is in excellent condition. The paint has been built up quite thickly on the canvas to bring the different tones to life. There are no breakages to the canvas. It is signed in the bottom right corner.

The frame is large and imposing, with an inner carved border which has been carved intricately with a gilt finish, which has now faded. The frame is in good solid condition but does have signs of wear. The inner border has cracks, plus there are some scuff marks and scratches to the outer border of the frame. But it's still a lovely looking piece. There is string at the back of the frame for hanging.
