Antique French Signed Floral Still Life Oil on Board

This is a beautiful example of a signed French antique oil painting on board, featuring a still life of a vase of dahlias. Signed by the artist in the bottom left corner (I do not recognise the name), this painting is a striking piece. The layering and texture of the flowers really stands out, and contrast beautifully with the darker and moodier background. It's an eye catching piece of art work which is a great compact size for a wall or mantle shelf.

There are some signs of age to the painting, with wear to the edges and corners of the board. But overall it's in lovely condition and is a stunning piece of art.
